Raising the Bar for Industrial Design

The site is located in a prime commercial area, which is ideally suited to small and medium-sized enterprises seeking not just practicality, but a place that reflects ambition and aspiration.

Design Approach: Function Meets Character

Our commission covered the full scope from early concept design to on-site delivery. Working closely with the client, we developed a series of seven purpose-built units that balance functionality with visual clarity. The design steers away from the typical grey industrial aesthetic, introducing a more engaging architectural language and welcoming material palette.

Each unit is designed with flexibility in mind, ensuring usability across a broad range of business types, while maintaining a cohesive and high-quality overall appearance.

Delivery Strategy: End-to-End Oversight

Acting as both architect and contract administrator, we provided full project leadership throughout. Our involvement from inception to completion allowed us to guide key decisions, coordinate across teams, and ensure that quality and budget remained aligned at every stage.

The goal was clear: to deliver rental-ready units that would attract strong tenant interest through their location, finish, and usability.

Outcome: Fully Let and Ready for Growth

The response to Phase 1 has exceeded expectations, the units are now fully occupied, confirming the market’s appetite for quality industrial space delivered at the right scale.

With the success of this initial phase, Phase 2 is on the horizon and will reinforce the site’s position as a valuable business hub in Staffordshire.

This project proves that industrial design doesn’t have to be grey or generic. It can be efficient, expressive, and ready to grow with the needs of the businesses it supports.
