Key Information
Design Approach: Working with the Landscape
The home is defined by its relationship to the land. Split-levels allow the building to step with the hillside, minimising disruption to the site while unlocking expansive views across the coast and countryside.
Rather than impose a single statement, the architecture engages with the landscape through subtle shifts and sculpted forms. A large open-plan viewing space acts as the heart of the home offering a constant connection to the environment, whether through wide panoramas or intimate moments of light and texture.
The result is a house that doesn’t just sit in the landscape it moves with it.
Construction Delivery: Precision in Practice
This well considered proposal, originally and creatively designed by a local architect, followed with our commission to assist with the construction phase of this bespoke dwelling, managing the complexities of building on such a challenging and exposed site. Our role focused on realising the architectural vision through a coordinated and precise build process, ensuring that each material and detail was executed to a high standard.
Outcome: A Modern Home in Harmony with Place
The finished home offers a powerful contrast to the wildness of its surroundings sharp yet grounded, contemporary yet enduring. It is a place defined not just by its aesthetic, but by its deep engagement with the site.
This is a house shaped by the land, made possible through collaboration and a shared commitment to quality and well considered delivery
