Kim Mountford is a RIBA Chartered Architect and former director of Mode Architects, known for her thoughtful, design-led approach across residential, commercial, and community projects. With a solid foundation in both architecture and construction, Kim brings a well-rounded, hands-on perspective to each stage of the design and delivery process, ensuring cohesive and considered outcomes.

A graduate of Liverpool John Moores University, Kim has spent her career championing creativity, collaboration, and a client-focused approach. Her leadership style combines technical expertise with a personable, hands-on way of working ensuring that each project is tailored to the needs and aspirations of those it serves.

Kim’s work has been recognised within the industry, including an award for Professional Services from the Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce in 2024. She is known for her ability to balance bold architectural ideas with practical, buildable solutions grounding her designs in clarity, quality, and lasting character.

In addition to her professional work, Kim has a passion for restoring period properties. She often shares insights from her own renovation projects, including the careful restoration of a Victorian farmhouse, which reflects her respect for heritage and craftsmanship.
