At Inc Architects, our mission and values are the foundations we are building on.
When Mode Architects and Byatt Oliver merged to form Inc in 2025, our new name was chosen to reflect a commitment to inclusivity, collaboration and making meaningful change through design.
From the start we have intentionally applied that commitment to how we work together as a team, as well as to how we support our clients.
Rather than growing first and defining our values later, we are intentionally putting these foundations in place now. By reflecting on how we work and identifying where we can do better, we aim to create a supportive environment for our team and deliver excellent results for our clients.
Inc is proud to be a collaborative, open and approachable practice. We value honest conversations, shared problem-solving and working proactively with clients, consultants and each other.
Reflecting on this approach to building strong foundations, Bianca Davies, Office Manager, explains:
“As part of putting the foundations in place we wanted to be intentional about how we communicate. Reflecting on the ‘defining of values now rather than later’ we made the business decision to implement a project management system, which has helped us create a clear, shared approach to communication both internally and with our clients. It supports collaboration, transparency and continuity across the practice, enabling our team to work proactively together.”
Creative freedom is encouraged, allowing our team to explore ideas and respond to challenges in different ways. Supported by clear roles and strong working relationships, this approach enables us to adapt, problem-solve creatively and deliver high-quality service.
We prioritise staff wellbeing, training and professional development, creating an environment where individuals can grow alongside the practice, and we recognise and celebrate achievements.
While we don’t always have vacancies advertised, we are always open to conversations. We enjoy meeting new people across the industry and building relationships based on trust, curiosity and mutual respect.
